Project Brief: Distributor Payment Performance

The company provides consignment financing to dealers until the product is sold; at which time the dealer is supposed to remit payment back to the company. The problem is that dealers don’t remit right away and they hold onto the cash while the company continues to pay interest on the money. The purchasing group had the loan information but needed a solution that would allow them to connect loan information with sales and customer data so that they could figure out when a loan was paid off. The finance group wanted a reporting solution that was easy to use, accessible, secure, and accurate.
